Personal - We are so excited to introduce to you the newest member of the Elmore family —- Ezekiel Edward Elmore! He was born on January 24 at 7.7 lbs, 21 inches, and so healthy! We had the privilege of being in the hospital when he was born. Kelly was the first one to hold and feed him. God moved incredibly in the hospital and really blessed us in regards to the birth family and our time spent with them. We are loving being parents! Zeke is such a joy to us, and we would appreciate your continued prayers for him, for health and for his salvation.
Kuza- Our Kuza app ministry has been doing well since we’ve arrived in the USA. Our team has helped the ministry to have over 1000 downloads, developed a new radio ministry partner named “Lulu FM,” written three devotions, and are starting to plan for a large conference for all Kuza users since we have been in the USA. Lulu FM is a Christian youth radio network on the coast of Kenya, where we currently have no marketing for Kuza yet. Lulu FM heard us being talked about on Kubamba Radio (our Nairobi radio station partners), and they loved the app and wanted to partner with us. We’re very excited about the potential to spread Kuza’s net wider.
Conferences & Seminaries Updates- Our teaching team has flourished in our absence! Through the months of January-March, they taught 30 conferences and in 2 seminaries! At one of the conferences, 2 youth made professions of faith. At the seminary in Burundi, Sammy and Nicholas got to meet up with a pastor we had formally trained who was working at a local Baptist church. He had started a youth Bible study at his church and it is thriving! They have close to 50 youth attending! The youth were so excited about the Bible study and expressed their gratefulness for the training their pastor had received from us. It is such a blessing to see such fruit from our work!
Fundraising- One of the things we will be doing while here in the States (in addition to raising a little human) is fundraising for our ministry. Our ministry continues to grow and we are often unable to meet the demand for trainings due to finances. Please pray for us to be successful in this, that God will raise up those who can either increase their giving or give for the first time. Matt is available to speak in churches or in people’s homes, so please let us know if you would be interested in him coming to you!
